Linda Chan

Linda is a corporate finance lawyer and business executive based in Hong Kong with over a decade of experience in the legal industry. Qualified in Hong Kong since 2008, she has advised clients on initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and startup fundraising. In 2016 to 2019, Linda joined a legal-tech startup in Hong Kong, where she served as Head of Product.

In 2020, Linda cofounded sehji (寫字), a funding application institute that assists social innovation projects and art and cultural organisations in obtaining public and private funding. Leveraging her skills as a corporate finance lawyer, sehji also advises clients on corporate structure and governance, and assists entities in applying for section 88 tax exemption status.

Linda is a course consultant at the Department of Politics and Public Administration at HKU, supporting the content development and student engagement for the course Digital Governance (POLI3149). Linda was a visiting lecturer at PolyU SPEED and taught Management of Social Enterprise in 2022. She has also given guest lectures at HKU SPACE, CUHK, HKUST and Caritas Institute of Higher Education.

In 2022 and 2023, Linda served as COO & General Counsel at Forbole, a Proof-of-Stake blockchain validator. Linda regularly speaks as a panellist or moderator on topics related to blockchain governance, and has hosted an introductory course on Decentralised Finance in 2023.

Linda’s expertise in corporate finance, social entrepreneurship, and Web3 technology has made her a sought-after speaker on topics related to social innovation and digital transformation. Her passion lies in helping organisations achieve both financial success and social good, and driving inclusion and sustainability in the commercial landscape.

Linda obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of Hong Kong in 2005 and completed her PCLL in 2006.
